Being able to simply roll out, solo or with one helper, with almost no fixed overhead, means I can offer rates that larger production companies can’t compete with.
I have meticulously assembled my sound system with efficiency in mind. Efficiency in terms of being high output, and high quality, but modest in both weight and size.
Given a generous load-in schedule, I can handle all the setup myself. Aside from the subs, which stay on the ground, the heaviest piece of equipment in the whole rig weights about sixty pounds.
And only the largest shows require more than a van for transport, easily handled with the smallest U-Haul trailer.
